Folks in attendance are sure pleased they went to the weekend events.
A different crowd for each gig.
We were elated to bring classmates into the loop that have not attended a class function of any kind in 33 years. And, they were quite appreciative to be included.
At the Sunday picnic, we melted down as we did not know we were competing with a major Golf Tournament and a Hispanic Festival at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. The roads were closed and we’re convinced we lost people who did not know an alternate route. But, it was still a success.
The photos are now loaded and on the website earlier than expected. Names were easier this time. I went to work immediately following the events and cranked out the work. Done! The website has been revised.

To date, we have had 10, 546 hits on the website in the past 85 days. That’s 124 per day. So, we are reaching people. Now, we just have to connect with them.
Please do not use social networks of any kind to communicate with us. They do not work well for us. Classmates, Facebook and Twitter, too. We will not use them. They are ineffective and not reliable.Contact us directly at [email protected]
We will do this again, same time, next year.
The upside? You will not hear from me until Christmas. J

Less than 2 Weeks Away to Catch Up With Old Friends.
Can We Expect To See You? We Certainly Hope So.
We’re expecting a large turnout, so, GET READY! J
We’ve contacted 375 people. It should be fun.
We Are Everywhere!
And, we have been successful reaching people.
Kuwait, South Korea, Mauritius, Australia, France, Austria, West Vancouver, West Africa and the Entire nation. From Alaska to California to Maine to Florida and Everywhere in Between.
Just the folks from the Baltimore/Washington, DC/Frederick area, are large in number. About 65% of the class.
We may not be able to find anymore MIA folks, as we have repeatedly tried. We sent postcards to 183 of the 201 missing. We only heard from a few. These folks are permanently lost. Unless, they are sitting on your contacts list. Take a look and let us know.

Plan on anytime after 2:00pm. $3.00 for parking comes with a trash bag for cleanup. Any help provided will be warmly appreciated.

Afraid to go? Everyone is. Historically, by the end of the evening, folks are elated they attended. They’re stunned how everyone grew up. Be, there. We’re counting on seeing you.

An interesting story that is related to our class:
Have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking, surely I can't look that old. Well . . .take a look.
My name is Alice, and I was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his DDS diploma on the wall, which bore his full name.
Suddenly, I remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30-odd years ago. Could he be the same guy that I had a secret crush on, way back then?
Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.
After he examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended Richard Montgomery High School? Yes. Yes, I did.
I'm a rocket,' he gleamed with pride. When did you graduate?' I asked. He answered, in 1976. Why do you ask?'
You were in my class!', I exclaimed. He looked at me closely.
Then, that ugly, old, bald, wrinkled faced, fat-assed, gray-haired, decrepit son-of-a-bitch asked,
'What did you teach?” J

If you can email me with any names of classmates who have passed away over the past 33 years, I would like to include a Memorial Page for them on the site.
Some classmates have been incredibly responsive and tell us the names of, “Unknown,” folks on the photos and others are diligently cleaning out their contact lists or better yet, actively finding people and getting us in touch with one another. On the other hand, many of you read these emails, go to the site, enjoy it and do nothing. We need to correct that. J
The MIA list has grown and has several new members. So, take another look. Why not go on Facebook or My Space and search for folks. It will help. Google works, too.
Send us your home email address. Should you separate from your employer, we lose you and that happens a lot. We will continue to copy you in both places unless you direct us otherwise.
As many of you know, I’ve emailed you over time and asked for specific email addresses for certain classmates. Within moments, you provided them and the class member was found. It only takes a moment to review your contact list and furnish names. If everyone fishes out one name, we could eliminate the Missing in Action List.
Some weeks, I find 20 people, other weeks not as many. Folks really are looking up old friends. We’ve reunited dozens of people.
So, here’s your homework. Focus on the following 15 people and let’s find them.
D’Aguanno, Donna Louise
D’Amore, Susan Lee
Davis, Timothy
Davis, Victor Wayne
Elliott, Larry
Gant, Roland
Gaskill, Penny
Gregoire, Stephen
Hardgrove, Lisa
Hayes, Ronnie
James, Arnetta
Johnson, Boo Boo (Betty Jane)
Katz, Sam
King, Cathy
Kleinman, Sonny

I NEED a FIX! - APRIL 25, 2009
I planned to send the class email out in 20 days on May 15.
42 days before show time On June 27.
However, I watch the website several times per day and manage our responses, etc and we average about 150 per day. Sadly, over the past few days, our numbers have plummeted. But, we have had 3400 hits since April1.
Make me feel all this work is worth it and go the site! J Just clock in. Or, better yet, surf it. Loads of pages.
New features include, yearbook photos, direct email addresses and captions on all photos.
Why not post a comment on the, “Class Commentary,” page. Let’s make it interactive. Don’t be bashful. People love reading it.
Check out the Missing in Action List and keep us up to date.
Help Wanted:
Wanna help with some easy Internet Surfing? No phone calls necessary. Just get online for our class and help us find folks. Contact [email protected]
Too Funny a Story about 10 year Reunions. A woman didn’t want to go to her reunion, so, she hired a stripper to go in her place and present herself as the classmate. The stripper had a wire in her ear and the classmate was in the hotel bedroom guiding her on how to respond to other classmates questions and comments. The stripper attended the reunion wearing fishnets, a tight black dress and spike-heeled boots, and told classmates she had reconstructive surgery and suffered from amnesia following a severe auto accident that classmates heard about years earlier. The stripper told folks she was working as a stripper to help pay her graduate school tuition. By the end of the evening, she proceeded with a burlesque strip and was tossed out by the female classmates while the men defended her. Not a bad idea? Anyone in?
See you next month.

April 15, 2009 - 30 + 3 Reunion
1983 hits on the website since April 1. Counter on the website to keep you posted on our progress and activity.
http://rmhs1976.weebly.com
If you forget, you can always Google any version of RMHS 1976 and find us. Place it in your bookmarks or favorites.
Naturally, over the next three days, we will spike and get over 2,500 hits, but, the weekly views are encouraging. Keep Coming Back.
We have over 200 GOOD emails on file, so, we anticipate a good turnout for the June events. We added 75 new emails recently.Loads of revisions often. Check back frequently.
Lots of revisions on the site Since April 1st. See Green Turtle and new photos added to the 30th Reunion. 50 new photographs.
Lots of details to cover before the events in June Below
1.) We have now placed folks names on the photos. It helps you recognize who is in the shot! :-) If you’re listed as an “Unknown,” make contact with us and correct it. We’ll gladly make the change.
2.) Now Showing: You can now, “Click On,” the Classmates name and email them directly. Reunite with an old friend and make plans to see one another at the June events.
3.) We installed a Senior Yearbook Photo Section. It helps when folks see one another at these events. It’s a good refresher.
4.) Send us your home email address. Should you separate from your employer, we lose you and that happens a lot. We will continue to copy you in both places unless you direct us otherwise.
5.) The MIA list has grown. Please review again. We pulled from the Commencement Program and it grew a lot. Many folks didn’t grow up with us. They either graduated early or somehow landed at Graduation, but, weren’t in our class.
Review Missing in Action and share what you know. If everyone fishes out one name, we could eliminate the Missing in Action list. Some weeks, I find 20 people, other weeks not as many. So, here’s your homework.
Focus on the following 8 people and let’s find them.
1.) Charlie Angelo
2.) Dick Baker
3.) Mike Beck
4.) Ruth Brenner
5.) Linda Burnett
6.) Carol Butt
7.) Paul Creamer
8.) Bill Cromwell
9.) Norman Curry
And, I’m only on the, “C’s!” More to come. We’ve had these folks in the past, but, they are now out of reach.
SO, TAKE A MOMENT and FOCUS. Look at the list and help us out.
6.) Help Wanted:
a.) We need a Net Savvy Web Designer or Developer for some quick
information to assist us in further developing our site.
b.) Wanna help with some easy Internet Surfing? No phone calls
necessary. Just get online for our class and help us find folks.
Contact [email protected]
7.) We loaded Archives of Emails sent to classmates over the past year.
8.) More Memorials have been added. Over the years, I’ve called all the families on behalf of the class and conveyed condolences. Now, that we have a website with memorials, they are all very appreciative of the gesture and for thinking of them and our classmate. If you can email me with any names of classmates who have passed away over the past 33 years, I would like to include a Memorial Page for themon the site.
9.) We launched our website on the night the server crashed. Many of you could not get on the website. It is now corrected.
10.) Female Classmates: They are hard to find as they now live with a married name and we do not know how to locate them. So, please, take a moment and look at the list and consult your contact list and send us the email address. Do it now!
11.) Folks to Recognize. Some folks have been quite diligent in keeping the class together and have fed me with information or have rolled up their sleeves and have gone to work.
They include: John Greene, Linda Putnam, Cathy Berard, Lee Corydon, Kyle Remissong, and Debbie Prather.
12.) WHY NOT POST A MESSAGE? Let classmates know you’re thinking of them and what you’re thinking about. Let’s make it an interactive forum. Don’t be bashful. People love reading it.
The June 2009 Events:
Mark Your Calendars Now!
On Saturday, June 27, we will meet at the bar owned by Kyle Remissong, The Big Hunt (blame him for the name) on DuPont Circle in Washington, DC. We celebrated our 50th birthday there last year and everyone in attendance had a blast. Many folks we had not seen in years came and thoroughly enjoyed doing so. Directions and Map on the class website. Simply pay your own tab. Beer and cocktails run anywhere from $3-7.00.
Just take $1off of any drink you select. Top Shelf or Beer. See www.thebighunt.net for details. A light fare menu is also available. (Wings, Burgers and Pizzas.
On Sunday, load the kids in the SUV and join us for a picnic at SenecaState Park in the “DOE,” area. (Same place as the past). See the Website for Directions and a Map of the Park.
We’re lucky to have a generous classmate financing the Hot Dogs and Beers. Of course, if you throw some singles into the bucket on the grounds that day, it will be warmly appreciated. Plan on anytime after 2:00pm. $3.00 for parking comes with a trash bag for cleanup. Any help provided will be warmly appreciated.
Flying home to the area? We strongly recommend BWIAirport, as it’s much cheaper and only 35 minutes from the Saturday night event and 45 minutes from the Picnic on the way home. Email us and we’ll give you cost effective hotel recommendations.
Please make a point to forward this email onto any classmate for which you have contact information. You may have access to classmates that we do not have. Just take a moment and look into your database and hit, “Send.” Forward this email. Email us classmates email addresses to [email protected] or [email protected]
Looking forward to seeing you.

April 2, 2009 - Missing in Action List
Following is the list of folks for which we’re still searching .
As of today, the following folks have not been found.
Please review and send us any known addresses or forward to this email to the classmate. Read the list carefully. Some folks we’ve had an email for several years and they recently dropped their address.
If the classmate doesn’t want to participate, just tell us so, so we can stop searching for them.
This list can change as we are currently proofing the commencement program and we are now working off of the senior yearbook. Oddly, many folks graduated but are NOT in the senior yearbook.
Some are actually NOT MISSING!
They live down the street and are seen often, but, at the moment, we do not have their email address.
Please focus on finding them and get us their email address by emailing me directly or the website:

March 15, 2009 - It’s Almost Finished…
Our next class event and revised website follows. See later in this email information about the following web address: RMHS 1976 Class Website . By the way, this is a NEW website address with photos, forums, memorials, and lots of other new content, so please update any bookmarks/favorites you may have created previously for the older website URL.
INVEST SOME TIME IN READING IT.
It’s compelling and a lot of information.
33 Years and Holding!
(Lots to cover here, read carefully.)
Join us for what will become our annual soiree On Saturday and Sunday June 27 and 28, 2009.
Last year, Robbie Curry closed the place at 3am. We will be glad to see you after 8:00pm.
I asked Kyle for his private room, as it was too cumbersome to plan a formal event. This way, costs are low based on how much you drink. Simply pay your own tab. Beer and cocktails run anywhere from $3-7.00. Just take $1 off of any drink you select. Top Shelf or Beer.
See www.thebighunt.net for details. A light fare menu is also available. (Wings, Burgers and Pizzas).
On Sunday, load the kids in the SUV and join us for a picnic at SenecaState Park in the “DOE,” area. (Same place as the past). See the attachment for a map of the park.
Fortunately, for us and Kyle has offered to finance the Hot Dogs and Beer. We’re lucky to have such a generous classmate. Of course, if you throw some singles into the bucket on the grounds that day, it will be warmly appreciated. Plan on anytime after 2:00pm. $3.00 for parking comes with a trash bag for cleanup. Any help provided will be warmly appreciated.
DIRECTIONS:
The park is located in MontgomeryCounty. From Washington, D.C, Virginia and points south, take I-270 north towards Frederick, Maryland. Take Exit 10, Clopper Road (Route 117). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. The park is approximately 2 miles on the left.
You can also see the class website (brand new and completely revised!) for driving directions and detailed information. FYI: THE WEBSITE HAS A NEW LOCATION (URL) which is: http://rmhs1976.weebly.com .
To view the website, go to RMHS 1976 Class Website . For links to photos, look to the home page of the website. http://rmhs1976.weebly.com/1976-class-list.html Or, if you forget, you can always Google any version of RMHS Class of 1976 and find us. However, we do compete with Rocky Mountain High School and Reading Memorial High School, all being, “RMHS.”
The website has been revised to include photos from the past few events, email addresses for classmates, a forum to post messages, memorials and more. We have an Open Forum on the site for you to talk to classmates.
Please keep us updated with your current email address, so we can keep you posted on class related matters. Folks, people come and go very quickly in our class. Please forward, this information onto to anyone in your address book and have them make contact with [email protected]with a current email address. Or, simply forward me any addresses in your database for our records. Do not assume we have already made contact with your classmates, as we may not have their current email address.
It is also important to check the site periodically, as there will be updates over time.
If you can email me with any names of classmates who have passed away over the past 33 years, I would like to include a Memorial Page on the site. See attachment for details and if you know the year they passed away, please forward.
For over 30 years, I’ve organized and hosted these gigs and have spent an extraordinary amount of time talking folks into coming. On every occasion, I am graciously thanked by the hold out as he/she had a wonderful time and didn’t expect it. So, if you’re sitting on a fence about attending, get over it and save me some time. You’ll enjoy yourself. We’re not the immature children we were in High School. We’ve actually grown up. For me personally, I’ve become friends with classmates I feared or dodged in High School. Managing 365 people over 35 years and keeping up with all the changes of contact information has been very challenging. We have used all the emails everyone has on file as well as the ones we collected for past gigs. Chances are many of the email addresses are now defunct. Please make a point to forward this email onto any classmate for which you have contact information.
So, join us.
RSVP’s are helpful, so, we can plan accordingly. You’re coming and can hit a quick, “Reply,” it will help us plan the staffing at the Big Hunt. But, if it’s 8pm on Saturday night or 1:00pm on Sunday and you’re suddenly in the mood, just stop by.
You may access to classmates we do not have. Just take a moment and look into your database and hit, “Send.” Forward this email.
You’ll make a classmate happy for thinking of them.
Looking forward to seeing you. Please pass this information onto anyone in your database, as we may not have addresses for everyone.
With Every Good Wish,
Rich Moonblatt (Bedard)
