Okay ‘76ers, One Last Fast Look @ Medicare.
In the spirit of keeping this email, shorter and to the point, we are now going to...
...on all Medicare related information, and will simply leave you with:
The "Enrollment Period."
Register for Medicare as soon as three months before you turn 65 years old.
If you sign-up the month you turn 65 or for the three months after your birthday, your coverage will begin the following month.
Otherwise, look for penalties and interest.
The easiest and fastest way to sign-up for Medicare is through the Social Security Administration online. www.ssa.gov Or you can call (800) 772-1213. Monday-Friday 8:00am-7:00pm (local time).
You can also call Medicare 24/7 and talk or live chat with a "Real Person," @ (800) 633-4227. Or, (800) Medicare.
FWIW, I am now officially done with your Medicare needs.

Some of us have already celebrated and the remainder of us continue to look forward to it.
Now, that some of us have already turned the "Big 6-5," or will be doing so over the next 6 months, let's pretend we really care about "Early-Bird Specials."
We will begin the evening @ 5:00pm to take advantage of Happy Hour, in the Race Bar, which will end @ 7:00pm and resume @ 10:00pm until 1:00am.

Sadly, we cannot extend the Happy Hour until later, as the systems within the Bar and Restaurant are pre-programmed and cannot be changed.
Thus, we're starting earlier than desired.
However, as you will see below, some of the drink categories have regular prices that are awfully close to the Happy Hour pricing, so you may not need to be there by 7:00pm.
So far, the lion's share of us want to keep it to 5:00pm to take advantage of Happy Hour until 7:00pm, so we stand @ 5:00pm and look forward to seeing everyone when ever they arrive.

Clyde's restaurants have been operating with
extraordinary increases in the cost of doing business.

High Inflation, rising wages, and supply chain challenges have continued beyond the pandemic creating a difficult operating environment.
Clyde's has reluctantly chosen to implement a separate 3.75% fee for 2023, with the hope that it can be eliminated in the future as conditions improve.

As you can see, in addition to our booths, we will also have the reserved space around our portion of the bar.
We will have "Name Tags" available for all of us,

As for entertainment, of sorts, Vadim and Friends will be performing later in the evening, after 9:00pm.
For each gig, Vadim brings in different artists. On June 3 the performance will be with Anthony “Swamp Dog” Clark and his four piece band.
The group plays “Blues with a Funk Edge,“ and they have performed and recorded with some of the best local and national blues acts.

PARKING
Parking is available in the parking lot behind Clyde's. There is a large open 24 hour parking lot, operated by Colonial Parking (Chevy Chase Center, 5425 Wisconsin Ave, Chevy Chase, 20815).
There is also a 24 hour garage parking structure, below the parking lot, that is multiple levels, so there is ample parking available.
Clyde's provides FREE PARKING with validation for up to 2 1/2 hours. Don't forget to bring your parking ticket to the restaurant.
Standard Parking Rates are, per Colonial Parking's Website (Parking Locator - Colonial Parking (www.ecolonial.com):
1 hr: $1
2 hr: $3
3 hr: $9
4 hr: $12

The Friendship Heights Metro station is across the street to Clyde's.
Google Maps shows it as 0.1 miles and a 3 minute walk from the Friendship Heights Metro Station to Clyde's of Chevy Chase.
Let's Look At "Saturday Night's Housekeeping":
1.) For Saturday night only, if you need Rich pertaining to any challenges you may have, Rich’s cell phone is (202) 906-9888.
Rich recommends calling rather than texting, as there will be a lot going on that will preoccupy Rich, and he may not hear the arrival of your text.
2.) Don’t forget that Clyde’s validates up to 2⅟₂ hours, so set yourself a reminder for 2⅟₂ hours after you arrive. If you are attempting to obtain additional validation time from Clyde’s, you will have to leave the lot/garage and return in order to get a new parking ticket. The GM knows this is done, but it is not “celebrated”, so we are not broadcasting it.
3.) Home emails. 76'ers, we've only addressed this matter for 25 years now and we are "Somewhat" fortunate to have only lost a few people based on retirements. Kindly, send us yours now.
4.) We have lost folks over time, why not check in with classmates you believe may be out of the loop and have them jump in, join us @ Clyde's and send us an email.
5.) We're doing very well on responses, but the sooner you can lettuce know if you'll be in attendance, that will really help with managing headcount.
6.) RSVP's Can be Cancelled in the 11th hour.
