THE PICNIC - SENECA CREEK STATE PARK
SUNDAY JUNE 28, 2009
Location: Seneca State Park
Clopper Road (Route 117)
Gaithersburg, MD
On Sunday, load the kids in the SUV and join us for a picnic at Seneca State Park in the "Doe" area (same place as the past).
Fortunately, for us and Kyle has offered to finance the Hot Dogs and Beer. We’re lucky to have such a generous classmate. Of course, if you throw some singles into the bucket on the grounds that day, it will be warmly appreciated. Plan on anytime after 2:00pm. $3.00 for parking comes with a trash bag for cleanup. Any help with clean-up will be warmly appreciated.
NO COMMITMENT, NO COST - - - JUST SHOW UP
RSVP preferred but not required.
If you forget our URL in the future, you can always Google any version of RMHS Class of 1976 and find us. However, we do compete with Rocky Mountain High School and Reading Memorial High School, all being, “RMHS.”
This website has been revised to include photos from the past few events, email addresses for classmates, a forum to post messages, memorials and more. We have an Open Forum on the site for you to talk to classmates (see the home page under "Class Commentary ...").
(Please see attachment for, “Memorials,” and update us on year passed away or anyone we have omitted.)
Please keep us updated with your current email address, so we can keep you posted on class related matters. Folks, people come and go very quickly in our class. Please forward, this information onto to anyone in your address book and have them make contact with [email protected] with a current email address. Or, simply forward me any addresses in your database for our records.
It is also important to check the site periodically, as there will be updates over time and posting notes to one another in an open forum.
For over 30 years, I’ve organized and hosted these gigs and have spent an extraordinary amount of time talking folks into coming. On every occasion, I am graciously thanked by the hold out as he/she had a wonderful time and didn’t expect it. So, if you’re sitting on a fence about attending, get over it and save me some time. You’ll enjoy yourself. We’re not the immature children we were in High School. We’ve actually grown up. For me personally, I’ve become friends with classmates I feared or dodged in High School.
Managing 365 people over 35 years and keeping up with all the changes of contact information has been very challenging. We have used all the emails everyone has on file as well as the ones we collected from past gigs. Chances are many of the email addresses are now defunct. Please make a point to forward this email onto any classmate for which you have contact information.
As a matter of fact, everyone email my domestic partner James at [email protected] as he is our webmaster and has sacrificed hundreds of hours to program our database and keep our website and email list together. There is no way I could have done this without him.
So, join us.
RSVP’s are helpful, so, we can plan accordingly. You’re coming and can hit a quick, “Reply,” it will help us plan the staffing at the Big Hunt. But, if it’s 8pm on Saturday night or 1:00pm on Sunday and you’re suddenly in the mood, just stop by.
You may have access to classmates we do not have. Just take a moment and look into your database and hit, “Send.” Send them to this website.
You’ll make a classmate happy for thinking of them.
Looking forward to seeing you. Please pass this information onto anyone in your database, as you know, we do not have addresses for everyone.
With Every Good Wish,
Rich Moonblatt (Bedard)

P.S. Your email address may be on several different lists, so please excuse any duplication. Better to be notified often, than not at all. We believe, we have resolved this problem. One never knows. Contact us, if you’re getting duplications.
Remember: The greatest accomplishment is not in ever falling, but in rising again after you fall.
