The 50th Birthday Party
The 50th Birthday Party!
How could we possibly not celebrate our 50th together? And, we did.
Everyone gathered at Kyle Remissong’s Dupont Circle bar, The Big Hunt and we collected quite the eclectic crowd. Folks from College and Woodley Gardens,Twinbrook, Hungerford, New Mark Commons, Lincoln Park, Berlin and West and Old Rockville all came and had a good old time.
Naturally many of us shied away from the camera as we had no problem being counted, but, we didn’t want to photograph the moment. Most folks knew these pictures would be shown at out 75th.
Of course, many of us were comparing one another to 1976 and noting the changes over 32 years.
In July 2006, we celebrated the class’s 30th Reunion in Bethesda with a picnic on the following day for families. The picnic pulled quite a large number of people and was enjoyed by all.
On the following pages is sampling of photos taken at both events and we hope you enjoy them.
Please join us for our annual get together on Saturday, June 27, 2009. Details to follow in March 2009.
The 35th Reunion will be celebrated in June 2011.
Please keep us updated with your email address on the website.

The After Party Commentary:
Everyone in attendance raved about the party and had a splendid time. Loads of Laughs and Memories.
Several folks were quite the welcome surprise, as we didn’t even know they knew about the evening.
Many folks came out of the woodwork to see old friends. Lots of folks flew out and many of us were local. It was a pleasure hearing from all of you who called in, as you were on family vacations. The cell phones were certainly being passed around last night. Several folks shied away from the cameras, but, there are still plenty available on the site. Check it out.
It sure was an evening of,”Keeping Our History Alive.”
By 2am, Dan Deitemyer made me promise to repeat this gig every year after I told everyone the next soiree would be our 35th Reunion in June 2011.
Mark your electronic calendars now for Saturday, June 27, 2009, and place my email ([email protected] ) with it. Details will follow by February 2009. Picnic will follow on Sunday. Bring the kids.
Hold this email address for communication, and then send us your changes if needed. Either forward to this email address or send your email to [email protected]
We hope to have resolved the “dupes,” issue and you should hopefully receive only one email. Do not hold your breath.
However, I am actively recruiting for assistance in managing the distribution list. Anyone who is net savvy and has time to assist, I would love to hear from you. Work from your own desk and no deadline work are involved. Work at your own pace. Lemmeknow.
If you were unable to attend last night, we’re sorry we missed you.
Maybe next year.
With Every Good Wish,
Rich Moonblatt (Bedard)
