The 30th Class Reunion
Dear RMHS Class of '76,
It is that time again to pull out that navy blue senior yearbook and compare that receding hairline or added lbs. to the face captured between pages 65 and 108. Hopefully, it will not be you who has undergone such a dramatic change in 30 years, but it will be that perfect classmate that you idolized so much back then. But, if it is you, please join the rest of us who share that "maturity" at your 30th (ouch!) class reunion.
As many of you already know, we have scheduled some activities for the weekend of July 14-16, 2006. So save the dates now!
On Friday, July 14, we will have a cocktail party. Location to be announced. No tickets are required.
On Saturday, July 15, we will have a cocktail party/dinner at the Marriot Suites Bethesda, between 7:30pm and 12:00am.
On Sunday, July 16, we will launch a casual picnic (bring the kids if you can) between noon and 4:00pm located at the usual park location at Seneca State Park (details to follow).
Over the past year, this committee has been working diligently with Great Reunions, the reunion company organizing what will be a very memorable reunion. For more information contact the reunion committee at [email protected].
The response to date has exceeded expectations, and our "found" rate of classmates is extremely high. We have found folks all around the world (using some sophisticated resources) who we had not previously been able to locate over the last 30 years. However, the search continues for those still not found. Please take a moment and review the "Not Found" list forthcoming with the invitation. Our goal is to make a concerted effort at finding everyone associated with the class of '76. This includes folks who went to junior high and most of high school with us, but left early for various reasons, such as a move, early graduation, etc. However, if they were not on the commencement program, they are not on this list. Therefore, it is incumbent upon you to remember who they are and to invite them (the internet has helped make searching very easy). It is important to understand that we may know where classmates are residing, but until they update the website or return the postcard, we have to continue to count them as "unfound". The key is responsiveness. Please send your RSVP or your regrets. Just send them.
Great Reunions has a website at www.greatreunions.com, where you can provide any information on these "lost" classmates as well as find other useful reunion and contact information. Simply click on the site, click on "Contact Us", click on "Address Updates", click on "Select Your Reunion", "RMHS Class of '76", and complete the information requested.
Be sure to identify whether you are the actual classmate or a friend submitting the contact information. Key in any information that you may have like a married name, a parent's address, an older/younger sibling's name, or a college attended (alumni organizations are helpful). If you really want to make it easier for us, perhaps you have their social security number! :- ) !!!
Please complete the enclosed forms for the Memory Book and Trivia Sheet and include them with you invitation response. FCR will produce a customized RMHS Class of '76 memory book for each classmate, which by the way is a great way to advertise your business or send a message to the entire class. If you do not want to be included n the memory book or have your contact information published, simply note that on your
card or the website. Check out the details on this invitation. Between a delicious menu, classic tunes (a DJ will be in attendance for those who haven't "bumped" and "hustled" in years), and rekindling old
friendships, a great time should be had by all.
Expect even more surprises. Re-live the era of graduating during our Nation's Bicentennial. Don't obsess over the gray hair, the receding hairline, or added pounds because "We Love You Just the Way You Are"
(Billy Joel, 1976)
See you in July. With every good wish,
